Dear Parents and Carers,
First of all, I would like to say how fantastic the Year 11 NRA and Prom were last week. It was wonderful as ever to see our students reach the end of their five years at QK and to celebrate their achievements at the Prom. Do read Talisha's account of the event below - to which I would like to add my thanks to all who helped organise the event. Obviously we look forward to welcoming many of them back into the Sixth Form after some excellent exam results!
Well done to all Year 9 students who have been brilliant during all of their exams over the past two weeks. As well as making GCSE Option choices, students will continue with their preparation for their GCSE courses in all subjects. They will often be completing slightly different tasks in subjects which are carefully designed to help them develop skills to help them succeed next year such as team-work and co-operation skills, speaking, listening and debating skills, evaluation and project work.
I would like to repeat my message about school uniform and in particular the outside coats. All students will be expected to have one of these at the start of school in September and these will be the only coats permitted on the school site. The coats will be available to purchase at the remaining Parents' Evenings at a cost of £22.
Finally, good luck to all students taking exams – make sure that you use your holiday wisely to revise!
