Dear Parents and Carers,

First of all, thank you to all students, staff, parents and members of the community who have contributed to the huge range of events that have taken place relating to Community Week - Enrichment Day, Talent Day and Community Evening itself.

All parents should receive a letter with QK News which outlines the different events for each year group until the end of term. As ever, it is a busy time of year with lots of times and dates to keep track of - I hope you find the calendar helpful.

At this point in the year, may I remind all parents that we are legally unable to grant permission for holidays taken during term-time. The Government and Westminster City Council have made it very clear that they will impose penalty fines and court action on parents who take their children out of school during term. It does also mean that your child runs the risk of losing their place at QK if they are taken off-roll due to extended absence. This term ends on Friday 17th July and all students are expected to attend until this date.

Year 7, 10 and 12 students will all start school on Monday 7th September; with every single parent and student expected in school on Tuesday 8th September for their Progress Review and Target-Setting meeting. No student will be allowed to commence lessons without attending this meeting. We are very much looking forward to starting the year with students really thinking about their personal goals for the year and how best they can achieve them.

Finally, good luck to all Year 10 students who begin their Pre-Mock exams next week. Remember, the better you prepare for these exams, the higher the final grades you will gain next year!
