From the Head Teacher...

Dear Parents and Carers,

Well done to everyone at QK for coping with the heat during this week! It has been exceptionally hot, especially for Year 7 and 8 students doing exams - so much so that we hired special air-conditioning units to keep them cool.

A reminder to all parents that school is closed for students tomorrow and Monday due to Staff Training; and next Friday. Staff will be working on two particular areas: preparation for the new Year 8 curriculum next year and a particular area that we are keen to develop further - the social and emotional aspects of learning.

An additional reminder about the dates for September - all Year 7, 10, 12 and 13 students return to school on Monday 7th September. All parents will receive an appointment for Progress Review and Target-Setting Day on Tuesday 8th September. Attendance to this meeting is compulsory for all students and parents. Lessons then begin at 8.50am on Wednesday 9th September for all students except Y12 and Y13.
