Dear Parents and Carers,

The end of another fantastic year at QK! As ever, it has been a very full one indeed with a huge range of successes. The highlight for all of us at QK must be gaining OUTSTANDING in our OFSTED inspection just before Christmas. In some ways, it couldn't have come at a worse time in a school year with staff and students quite tired after the long Autumn term. However, the QK community showed the inspectors exactly what a brilliant school this is during the visit. I would like to pay tribute to our tremendous staff group who deliver top quality education and care to our young people, day in day out!

Goodbye to Eugene Moriarty - Deputy Headteacher, who has been with us for almost 6 years, is sadly leaving QK and going to pastures new. Eugene has been an exceptional member of the Senior Management Team. His professionalism, vision, and commitment to ensuring that every child really does matter has been outstanding. During his time with us, Eugene has led the development of the Extended School provision and has had overall responsibility for our outstanding Inclusion Faculty. He has been totally committed to the wider school community, setting up Adult Education classes for parents and the local St. John's Wood community.

His contribution to the development of QK as an outstanding school have been invaluable - we will miss his sense of humour, fantastic relationships with students and his dedication to everyone at the school.

On behalf of myself and the whole QK Community, I would like to congratulate Eugene on his new position as Headteacher at St Augustine's - also in Westminster.

Goodbye also to: Camilla Hawa, Louise Auty, Lisa McKune, Fatima Conteh, Nazmin Rahman, Rachel Facey, James Eaton, Chris Norris, Deborah Wells, Chafika Zaidi and Venera Meyers, we wish them every success.

I look forward to seeing all students in school in September - Y10, 12 and 13 on Monday 7th September and then all students and parents/carers on Tuesday 8th September for your Progress Review and Target-Setting appointment.

I wish everyone a very happy and safe holiday!
