From the Head Teacher...

Dear Parents and Carers,
I have been speaking to all year groups this week about some issues that concern me. A key concern is students who are in school wearing incorrect school uniform – non-QK coats, hats, scarves, canvas pumps or trainers. No teacher should have to waste valuable lesson learning time on dealing with this. Please discuss with your child and ensure that they come to school in the right uniform.
A second issue is that of road safety. Just before the holiday, a Year 7 student was hit by a car on Marlborough Hill. Thankfully he was not seriously hurt. However, when I am on gate duty each day, I see many students who run straight across the road without looking and there have been several near-misses. Please remind your child about being safe on the roads. Year 9 Parents' Evening takes place on Tuesday 10th March. All parents should have received their invitation letter. This is your opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with all subject teachers and also to learn about the Option Choices that your child will make later this year.
