Historical Information

Due to moves over the years and other factors, the school has only patchy records and much has been lost or destroyed. Other sources of information include the University of Westminster (Polytechnic Institute material) and the London Metropolitan Archives (LCC records).

Our Story

Founded in 1886 as The Polytechnic Day Boys School in London's Regent Street, changed names several times, homeless for 17 years, St John's Wood 1956, comprehensive 1969, co-educational 1976, specialist Technology College status 2001. A short history of the schools.

The Quintinian

The Polytechnic School published this termly magazine with reports on House activities, sports, clubs, etc. plus notes by the Headmaster and contributions by pupils and letters from Old Boys. The Quintinian, 1939-45.

Old Quintinians Club

Founded in 1891, the Club was renamed the Old Quintinians Association but was disbanded in 1995.
