SATs Trends

Students are assessed in three core subjects at the end of Key Stage 3 using a combination of teacher assessment and unseen tests. Each May all Year 9 students take Standard Attainment Tests (SATs) in examination conditions. Teachers make their assessments (TAs ) using National Curriculum criteria. SATs are marked and TAs checked by external examiners.

The expected attainment set by the government for 14-year-olds is National Curriculum Level 5. The chart shows the percentage of QK students who reached or exceeded that target.
