Community Links

We run a programme at Quintin Kynaston School called Community Links. Community Links is a programme which allows specialist secondary school teachers from QK to visit various primary schools within the London Borough of Westminster and teach a class or selected group of children (primarily in Years 5 and 6) from those primary schools once a week. A number of different Faculties from QK (Maths, Science, ICT, Music and DT) are involved in this programme and each Faculty visits a different school, on a rotational basis, every term. We can run support lessons, booster classes or teach whole classes. We can also run the sessions here at QK or can come to the primary school.

Playground Pals

Playground Pals is a scheme QK runs with four of our primary schools: Essendine, George Eliot, Paddington Green and Wilberforce. Selected Year 9 QK students spend one lunch time a week at the primary schools, getting to know and support the students.

Community Readers Project

Six Year 8 students, selected due to their positive attitude to reading and enthusiasm for learning, are travelling to Gateway Primary School every Monday to read with the Year 6 students.
