BTEC Design Technology
BTECs are practical, work-related courses. Students learn by completing projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. A BTEC First Certificate – equivalent to two GCSEs - is an excellent basis for further study or starting work.
Hospitality
Hospitality is an interesting and practical course which explores many aspects of the hospitality industry. The lessons and assignment work is varied including many trips to actual hospitality settings and completing cooking practicals. The hospitality industry is one of the largest industries in the world, employing people all over the world. Students can receive up to 4 GCSE's by the end of year 11 and the course is 100% assignments. The units studied are:

- Planning and Running an Event
- Healthy Lifestyles
BTEC Construction
Students are introduced to the construction industry and its technical and craft occupations. They also study health, safety and welfare issues and learn the science and mathematics of construction.
Practical Assessment (100%)
BTEC Engineering
Students are introduced to engineering and a range of occupations, both craft and technical. They study health, safety and welfare issues engineering processes and techniques, computer-aided design/manufacture (CAD/CAM) operations, maintenance engineering and some electronics.
