KS3 Drama Scheme of Work Overview 2010-2011
Year 7 Course Content
Students follow a carefully planned practical Drama Course exploring people, behaviour, issues and events through discussion, group work and performance. In Year 7 students are taught to develop skills and build characters within specific schemes of work.
Each unit contains a mixture of individual, pair and group-work. They incorporate a range of personal and social skills as well as drama and theatre techniques. At the end of each unit, pupils complete a written assessment sheet about their practical work.
Year 8 Course Content
Students follow a carefully planned practical Drama Course exploring people, behaviour, issues and events through discussion, group work and performance. In Year 8 they are taught the skills of empathy and understanding and how we can make reflective and discursive performances.
Each unit contains a mixture of individual, pair and group-work. They incorporate a range of personal and social skills as well as drama and theatre techniques. At the end of each unit, pupils complete a written assessment sheet about their practical work.
Year 9 Course Content
Students follow a carefully planned practical Drama Course exploring people, behaviour, issues and events through discussion, group work and performance. In Year 9 they are taught to question and form opinions around specific topics.
