Key Stage 4
In ICT we run DiDA course for Year 10 and Year 11 students.
The Diploma in Digital Applications is a suite of modern, high quality qualifications which equate to a number of GCSEs:
- Award (AiDA) - 1 GCSE
- Certificate (CiDA) - 2 GCSEs
- Certificate Plus (CiDA+) - 3 GCSEs
- Diploma (DiDA) - 4 GCSEs
Everyday we are faced with vast amounts of information. Much of this information is stored, analysed and presented using digital methods i.e. using computer hardware and software. You need to learn how to use these digital applications with information efficiently.
In this course students use a range of Digital Applications programs (software) including
- web-based - browsers, e-mail
- office applications - databases, spreadsheet, word Processing)
- presentation - desk top publishing, multimedia, web authoring
- graphics
- sound and video editing
ICT at Key stage 4 is a Core subject.
