Social Science
Current developments
The Social Science department enables students to study Sociology at GCSE and then Sociology and Psychology at A-Level. Both of the Social Science subjects are hugely popular and provide students with the opportunity to study criminal psychology, psychology of health, cognitive psychology, sociology of crime, sociology of the family, research methods and many more fascinated topics.

Psychology – Overall pass rate A – C 50%
Sociology - Overall pass rate A – C 56%
Key stage 5
Psychology – A2 Psychology 39% of students achieved an A*-B grade.
Sociology – A2 Sociology 35% of students achieved an A*-B grade. 50% of girls achieved an A grade.
